Return to Costa Rica

One of the things I have wanted to do with my Spanish is to dream in Spanish. Our teachers say that is one sign that you are starting to incorporate the language. One night after we had been home from Costa Rica I finally had a dream in Spanish. Yeah!!! I say finally because Dawn has already dreamed in Spanish a couple of times.

Our return trip home was full of adventure. We drove to Atlanta on Monday Jan 5 and spent the night at a local motel. We awoke at 4am and arrived at the airport shortly after 5am only to find out that there was a "Christmas embargo" on the black plastic trunks we were traveling with. For a change I did not get upset or flustered but just told the clerk that God was not surprised or caught off guard. We got in a circle and prayed for God to give us peace and help us make the right decision. Ultimately we decided to wait and fly back to Costa Rica on the 11th, the first day the emabargo was lifted. It really turned out good as it was the only real "down time" we had over the break. I was very proud of the kids as they took it all in stride and did not get upset or flustered. See the pictures below.

Trey listening to some music on his new ipod.

Luke reading a book.

Timothy and Gabriel feeling the effects of a 4am wake up call.

Elijah hamming it up on the black trunks.

We thank God for all of His provision and protection.
